MLAK, the artistic identity of Karlee-Anne Louise Mackie, has been creating instinctively since childhood, developing a fluid visual language across paint, poetry, and imagery. A former professional free surfer, she now works from Byron Bay, creating pieces that balance spontaneity with symbolism, movement, and playful irreverence. Her multidisciplinary practice blends painting, photography, and text, resulting in expressive works that feel rhythmic, alive, and deeply human.
